Examine the booth surface and structure
An exhibition booth can be seen as a smaller – sized house. Without proper maintenance, the house will decline and collapse eventually.
Therefore, you should conduct periodic quality checks for the booth. To have the closest assessment, you should examine two aspects: the surface and the structure:
- Surfaces: Are there any cracks on the wall? Does the paint fade at any spot? Are the fabrics still intact?
- Structure: Are the supporting poles standing straight? Are there any welds about to break?

The exhibition equipment is a lot more fragile than you may imagine. A jolt while being carried, a little moisture,… may be just enough to ruin your beautiful booth.
For that reason, you have to be very careful when transporting and storing booths. There are three things you need to consider:
- Protect your booth from bumping: The road from the workshop to the exhibition is not always plain and smooth. A sudden turn can cause the equipment to bump into each other or crash to the ground. That’s why you should wrap the booth components with bubble wrap and tie them up tightly.
- Shelter the booth from bad weather: Direct exposure to sunlight, or heavy rain and strong winds may damage the booth. It can tear down a few spots on the wall, or knock the whole structure off balance at worst. Some plastic tarpaulins should be available to cover the booth in such situations.
- Keep the storage dry: Mold can grow on the wall in the environment with high humidity. Moreover, too much moisture puts your electrical equipment at risk.
Periodic cleaning
A dirty booth is a perfect nest for pests such as cockroaches or rats. Keep them out by cleaning the booth once in a while.
